Full description

Exeter Archaeology, 2005, Archaeological Assessment (Revised) of proposed Wind Farm at Fullabrook, North Devon, 8 (Report - Assessment). SDV340799.

Both the 1804-5 Ordnance Survey surveyors' drawing and Greenwood's 1827 map show a lane leading from north of Burland Farm straight to Bittadon. The only indications of its former existence on the 1840 Marwood Tithe Map are a widening of the road at the junction and a dog-leg field bank. The western end of the route was later reinstated to provide a route to the modern South Burland Farm. Other details: Site 23.
