A series of earthwork ditches visible here on aerial photographs have been previously interpreted as field boundaries of potential medieval field systems.

Taylor, E., 2002, NMP Mapping in West Devon (Report - non-specific). SDV341865.

Watermeadows visible on aerial photographs in valley below Kilworthy Farm with lines of ditches running approximately east-west along the valley.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2016, Backlog Recording of the Tamar Valley National Mapping Programme Survey (Personal Comment). SDV359374.

The earthwork ditches recorded here as part of this survey most likely represent gutters of a post-medieval to modern catch meadow system. There are two separate NMP database records for these earthworks which have been misinterpreted as field systems, but which have now been amalgamated together and appended to this monument record. Only part of the photo reference is given in the transcription attributes, so the date of the photographs is not known.
