Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2008, Archaeological Assessment of Land off Duke's Way, Axminster, Devon, 5 (Report - Assessment). SDV342566.
A deposit of roughly laid, medium-sized limestone blocks was exposed at a depth of 0.95 metres in a geotechnical test pit. Between and overlying the stones was a deposit of cess-like material, and the location suggests that this may be the remains of a latrine pit to serve the nearby pillbox. Other details: Site 6.
