Ordnance Survey, 1963, SS63NE (Cartographic). SDV337343.
Area of relict strip fields indiacative of a Medieval origin are shown on 1963 map to the west of these fields.

An area of probable Medieval ridge and furrow is visible as levelled earthworks in fields north of Stoke Benton, Bratton Fleming. Benton Farm is recorded in the Doomsday Book, and it is likely that the ridge and furrow dates to Medieval activity in area. Other details: Monument Number 1488947.
