Plot 923 on the East Budleigh Tithe Map of 1843 is recorded as 'Linhay Field' within the Tithe Apportionment. The field name is likely to relate to a rectangular building shown against the western boundary of the field on the Tithe Map. A building is also shown in this location on the later First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, although it is slightly larger in size. The building is not present on the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map indicating that it had been demolished prior to 1906.
