Full description
Buck, C., 2006, Gawton Mine, Devon: Archaeological Assessment, 33 (Report - Assessment). SDV344672.
A large spoil heap to the west of the shaft and leat, extending for approximately 10 metres westwards (down slope) towards the river's edge. Other details: Figure 35, site 19.1.

To the west of the shaft and the Leat (Site No. 20) a large Spoil Heap at SX 45459 69041 was recorded, extending downslope for approximately 10 metres towards the river’s edge. Downslope of the Leat path, the Spoil Heap forms part of the steep wooden valley slopes and was not readily legible to casual observation as a spoil tip. Other details: Site No. 19.1.
