Documentary evidence shows there was a short elevated tramway to take the waste from south of the engine house complex to the end of the waste tip. This feature is no longer visible, although some of the deep vertical timber supports are likely to be in situ. Timber posts and panelling with stone retaining walls are also likely to be extant in places. Other details: Figure 36, site 40.1.

There was no surviving evidence for the Tramway to the Spoil Heap between SX 45216 68822 to SX 45193 68839, although it was anticipated that some deep vertical timbers, panelling and retaining walls may have survived as buried remains. The route of the Tramway to Spoil Heap was not securely located through the woodland. Other details: Site No. 40.1.
