Buck, C., 2006, Gawton Mine, Devon: Archaeological Assessment, 60 (Report - Assessment). SDV344672.

This building is only shown on the 1884 Ordnance Survey map. There is no visual evidence for upstanding remains, although there may be remnants of the lower walls or foundations at this site. Other details: Figures 8, 36, site 67.

Ordnance Survey, 2010, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV344030.

Clive Meaton, 2023, Gawton Mine, Devon- Costed and Prioritised Proposals for Capital Works for the Conservation and Management of Gawton Mine Scheduled Monument (Redacted Costs Version), 168 (Report - Survey). SDV366131.

This building is first illustrated on the 1884 Ordnance Survey map, which appears to show solid walls, but not shown on the 1904 Ordnance Survey map. In 2006 there was found to be no surface evidence for the building, other than a cleared area within a large rubble pile, which may have represented its former footprint. It was recommended that the site was left undisturbed.
As in 2006 no remains were identified, although buried deposits may survive and would be assessed as being in good condition. Given the lack of visual surface evidence for the remains of the mine building it is considered to be of low significance, relative to other features and structures within the Site. The site should be left undisturbed, and no intrusive works permitted. Other details: Site No. 67.
