Inner Lorenz directional wireless beacon . Lorenz beacons emitted a series of signals which indicated to the pilot whether he was on the correct flight path. Outer (at SX99099345) and inner beacons were neccessary to assis in approaching the runway. This system was marketed in Britain as Standard Beam Approach.
