Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Open fronted building shown along south side of site at eastern end. Map object based on this Source.

Buck, C., 2008, Weir Quay Smelters, Devon: Impact and Conservation Assessment, 29 (Report - Assessment). SDV344723.

The buildings on the south side of the site were open, with the roof supported by at least five stone masonry columns (0.92 metres wide by 0.6 metres thick and approximately 3.5 metres high), four of which are extant and supporting a garage of similar width and height dimensions as the original. The functions of these buildings are not known, but they are likely to have stored coke and other items of a large volume. Other details: Figures 17, 22, site 47.
