Full description

One of two ammunition store houses for the storage of .303, 20 millimetre, 2 pound anti-aircraft ammunition and pyrotechnics. This building is the largest version. It has a rectangular plan forming a block of eight storage cubicles. External annexes provided heat to cubicles storing 2 pound anti-aircraft ammunition. Each cubicle has its own access through double steel doors and is protected by a traverse brick wall. Each cubicle measures 2o feet by 26 feet and has a clear height of 7 feet.
All walls (except heating chamber) are 18 inch solidy brick which, along with concrete beams, support a reinforced concrete slab roof.
