Some well-preserved Second World War Air Ministry brick and cement-rendered huts associated with the former RAF Branscombe radar station can be seen in the Kings Down Tail Caravan and Camping Park, near Branscombe. One building on this site is a former guardroom which has been recorded in photograph, plan and elevation. Despite some alterations to suit current use, the building still retains several original features, for example a fuse box, light switches and doors on which can still be deciphered the words TOILET, NCO, and possibly ORDERLY OFFICER. The internal layout still reflects that of its RAF days. Other details: Photographs, plan.

Passmore, M. + Passmore, A., 2011, Royal Air Force Air Defence Radar Station Branscombe, 3 (Leaflet). SDV347307.
