Immediately to the east of the Leach Building, behind the eastern gun emplacement, was the Red Building. This building originally had radar installed on the roof, but has been completely destroyed and only fragments of concrete and brick survive on the surface. The platform for this building remains as a terrace about 22 metres east-west by 8 metres north-south, but it has been extensively landscaped, especially at the eastern end.
