Full description
Timms, S. C., 1977-1981, Bideford Development Control Consultations, Photo 425/3a (Un-published). SDV346164.
Two shopfronts. One with wood pilasters, one modern.
28th July 1980 suggested sketch design for new shopfront for Blanchards Home Hardware provided by Pam Egeland. Other details: Photo 425/3a; Drawing C/C/324.

Numbers 51/51a, Mill Street (Blanchards). This property is occupied by a shop on its frontage. The ground floor has been gutted to accommodate the shop. The upper floor and roof may contain earlier features but this area has not been examined. To the rear of the property are three small structures (MDV63399) shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1885. The boundary wall between this property and Heards Yard is of interest (MDV63398).
