Full description
Child, P., 1997, 161 High Street, Honiton (Correspondence). SDV347455.
Pair of mid-19th century town houses, three storeys with splayed bay windows on the ground and first floors and added bay windows of circa 1900 on the second floor. There is a shared central porch with a tented roof supported on posts with ornamental brackets. On the rear elevation are three-storey bay windows, visible from Dowell Street. Although the building is probably not of listable quality (partly because of later alterations) it is makes a significant contribution to the quality of the area, and terminates a continuous of period houses which together are very much the essence of historic Honiton.
Ordnance Survey, 2012, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV348725.
