Vis=3/8/1951 (os). Present house appears to be victorian. No remains of earlier building apparent. Adjacent farm buildings all of ragstone appear to be older and some on north side of house are ruinous (os).

Vis=the site of the medieval estate of thurisleigh, alternately held as one estate and as two separate estates, thurisleigh durant and thurisleigh reigny. In existence at least as early as first half of 13th century. Mentioned in "testa de nevil".(reichel).
