Original Southern Block, Trinity School. House, now part of a school. Cica 1830s with some late 19th century alterations. Painted stucco, hipped slate roof with rendered stacks to south, east, and west sides. Double-depth plan. Picturesque Gothic style. Exterior: two storeys; symmetrical three-window range. The west entrance front has a raised surround with a cornice over a semicircular-arched doorcase which has a moulded archivolt, panelled reveals and soffit, and interlacing glazing bars to the fanlight over double half-glazed doors with margin panes. A 6/6-pane sash window to the centre of the first floor is flanked on both floors by 8/8-pane sashes, those to the ground floor in raised surrounds, those to the right are glazed but blank and front the south stack. Five panelled pilasters encompassed by stepped cornice articulate the south garden front which has a coped parapet, cornice and pointed-arched recesses with windows; tall two-light four-pane casements to the first floor and French windows to the ground floor with pointed-arched fanlights. Late 19th century verandah on raised garden terrace. Interior: the ground floor has panelled shutters, some six-panel doors, reeded cornices with late 19th century leaf friezes, late 19th century high skirting boards, the right-hand room has a late 19th century red marble fireplace with heavy incised blocks to the upper corners and a hob grate. The staircase has stick balusters and a wreathed handrail and curtail step.
