Church House. Now an inn, near to and below the church. It has a much altered stucco front with curiously invected, or concave, sides to the window heads. Those windows with their wooden frames resemble those in an adjoining cottage and are not late medieval. The entrance doorway appears to belong to the late 15th. Century and is chamfered with a two-centered head. It is reached by an unusual double flight of four steps on each side with a light iron railing. A similar doorway at the rear of the passage through from the front one. The interior has been much modernized

Church House Inn. A much altered building, backs onto the churchyard. It appears to have a first floor entry. It has two tall and broad lateral chimney stacks on either side of the front door serving two of the ground floor rooms. Aligned north/south. Much truncated and rebuilt in possibly early C19. Two large outshuts on north and south gables. These may in fact contain wall elements of the original building. At least 2m have been added to the tops of the walls in the centre section to make a shallower roof. Central front and rear entrances, about 1m above road at front. One rear lateral stack also which appears old. Covered C19 lychgate attached to east end. Possibly a priest's house. Constructed of local limestone and some new red sandstone. Rendered exterior and slate roof. Of original church house, only front and rear door surrounds of chamfered gothic form in new red sandstone. Chamfered bressumer over hearth in south end, probably for solar. From rebuilding, possibly into a house in the early C19, exist some very odd looking crochet pointed windows which cover the road frontage of this building and another nearby.

Public house, formerly church house. C16 or earlier, much altered and remodel- led in early Cl9 with Gothick style fenestration. Stuccoed stone rubble. Low pitched slate roof with gabled ends and large two storey lean-to either end. Two storeys. Four window front, the end windows in the lean-to. Unusual concave pointed arch (tented) windows with sashes of same shape complete with glazing bars and narrow margin panes. Later boarded shutters. At centre a medieval chamfered pointed arch stone doorway set back behind the early C19 facade. Similar doorway opposite at rear. Old plank door survives at the front. C20 pointed arch doorway to right. Small C19 shop front to left. Rendered chimney stacks at gable ends. Interior much altered. The cross- passage partitions have been removed and the ceiling beams have been either taken out or concealed.
