Full description
Department of Environment, 1972, Tiverton, 38 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV52494.
Nos 15 to 23 (odd), nos 24 and 25, St. Andrew's Street. Late 18th or early 19th century, painted brick and stucco, two storey fronts, sash windows. Some bracket cornices. No 15 has good contemporary doorcase with fanlight.

House. Circa 1810. Painted Flemish bond brick, right end weatherboarded, rear elevation slate-hung; natural slate roof with lead rolls, hipped at right end; end stacks with brick bands and old pots. Main range two rooms wide and one room deep with central entrance. Side passage at right end. Exterior: two storeys. Symmetrical three-bay front, plus one bay at the right end. Deep eaves on moulded eaves brackets. Rubbed brick arches visible below the paint. Pilastered doorcase with cornice and panelled reveals, the upper panels fielded. Pretty, unusual fanlight with spoke glazing bars enriched with quarter circles. Round-headed doorway to right with keyblock and door to passage with four flush panels and plain fanlight. All windows have moulded architraves. Ground floor and outer first-floor windows glazed with 16-pane sashes; eight-pane sashes over doors. The windows preserve some old glass. Interior: not inspected but likely to retain features of interest.
