Full description

Department of Environment, 1972, Tiverton, 38 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV52494.

Nos 15 to 23 (odd), nos 24 and 25, St. Andrew's Street. Late 18th or early 19th century, painted brick and stucco, two storey fronts, sash windows. Some bracket cornices. No 15 has good contemporary doorcase with fanlight.

Nos.24 and 25 (Formerly Listed as: St Andrew Street (West side) Nos.15 to 23 (odd), Nos.24 and 25).
House now divided into two. Late 18th century. Flemish bond red brick, 20th century tile roof; stacks with brick shafts and crowned pots. Cast-iron rain water goods. Central passage through to rear with both houses being double-depth and one room wide. End stacks and own stairs. Exterior: two storeys. Three-bay symmetrical front. Pilastered doorcase with entablature and cornice. Four panelled door, top two are fielded. Inner door has two bottom panels and glazed top panel. Two ground and two first-floor windows with flat brick arches, glazed with 12-pane hornless sashes except first floor right, which is a horned replacement. A metal plaque over the door reads FP 90. Interior: not inspected, except front door to inner door passage has red and yellow tiles on the floor and panelled dado. Features of interest may survive.
