Inscription on one side of the plinths: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ THIS CROSS IS ERECTED IN MEMORY OF/ THOSE FROM THIS PARISH AND NEIGHBOURHOOD/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR KING/ AND COUNTRY DURING THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1918/ THEIR NAMES ARE RECORDED ON A BRASS/ TABLET WITHIN THE CHURCH
