Earlier 19th century terrace in Greek Revival style. Number 2, Fore Street (qv) forms the north end bay of the terrace. 3 storeys. Symmetrical façade with projecting end bays (Number 3 The Plains and Number 2 Fore Street). Fenestration 1:7:1. Stucco fronts; Number 1 retains rusticated ground floor. Welsh slate roof with moulded ridge stacks. End bays with plain pilaster strips on quoins. Plain cornices and panelled parapets; end bays with acroteria on quoins. Plain first floor band. Sill bands to second floor windows. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars; first floor windows with console- bracketed cornices; first floor windows of end bays with sidelights; ground floor window of Number 3, segmental arched with voussoirs and sidelights. Numbers 1 and 2, modern ground floor shops. Number 3, round-arched doorway with fluted Greek Doric quarter columns carrying cornice-head, radial fanlight and panelled door. Good cast iron balconies to first floor with anthemion decoration.
