The manor of Heath Barton also bore the name of Calchurch. In Domesday it is simply described as Witestan. In 1243 it had obtained the name of Calchurch to distinguish it from the other two Whitestone manors. But in 1285 it is described as La Hetth. This name it has retained ever since, though it is often called Heath St Mary from the church which stood there.
