This building should be removed from the List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest because it is no longer extant and its special interest has therefore been lost.
The building at 3-6 Bear Barnstaple Street was an 18th century L-shaped house with 19th century shopfronts. Of two storeys, it was constructed of pebbles dashed over cob or timber framing. It was described as derelict in 1981 and listed Grade II on 31st October 1986. It was demolished in the early to mid 1990s.

Eighteenth century or earlier. L-shaped building. Two storeys pebble dashed over cob or timber framing. Roof now covered in pantiles. Five sashes with glazing bars intact. Nineteenth century shopfronts. The gable to the L-wing has some exposed lath and plaster. Derelict at time of survey (1981).
