Lower Hare, comprising ranges of buildings around a large yard including a barn with a horse engine house.

The farmstead still possesses some of its old thatched farm buildings, including a round pound house. A good example of an early Devonshire farmstead. An original early front door at the back of the farmhouse is now hidden under an outshut.

Lower Hare Farmhouse. Circa early 16th century origins, circa mid 17th century remodelling, some rebuilding of the circa early 19th century, 20th century rear additions in progress at time of survey (1985).
