Full description
Lake, W. C., 1890, Notes on the Origin of the Streets of Teignmouth, and on their Nomenclature, 124 (Article in Serial). SDV291838.
Remains of a theatre, where Kean is known to have played, were found while building 19 and 20 Station Road. Used previously to that in Coombe Road.
Bulley, J.A., 1956, Teignmouth as a Seaside Resort, 157 (Article in Serial). SDV350516.
Teignmouth's first theatre, opened in 1802, appears to have still been operating in 1817, but said to have ended its days as a coal store. Erected on what would today be part of Station Road.
