Description
Hamlet of Brerelawe which Eyton records in C13 can be identified with the ringwork (PRN 01082) near Westbury station. Fields surrounding site on the map of 1840 were called Brierleys, a name which survives locally to the present day . No date can be given for the desertion of the settlement <1>
No trace of settlement survives <2>
The only earthwork within the vicinity of the grid ref is a small ringwork (PRN 01082) at the highest point in the field. There are undulations in the field but any earthworks have probably been ploughed out <3>
