| Summary: | A route-marking column with cross situated at a crossroads. The monument consists of a tall, square-sectioned column built from brick with moulded base and cap of Beer stone. A small stone cross surmounts it. Each brick face also bears an inscribed stone plaque bearing the names of places accompanied by prayer extracts. 'The Cross' is shown at the crossroads on a map of 1765 (NMR citing OS). |
