Title:Devonshire Regiment Ornamental Arches
Originator:Pope, N.
Date:2025
Summary:An ornamental arch that once stood at the entrance to the former Devonshire Cottage Homes in Pinhoe Road, Exeter now stand outside the north-west former gunners' barracks at Wyvern Barracks. Alongside is another arch that formerly stood by the Sunderland and Spencer Cottage Homes in Brixton. These cottages are suggested to be later than those at Pinhoe Road, c.1921. The Pinhoe cottages, which were built in 1903, appear, therefore, to be the only known Boer War Cottage Homes in Devon
