| Summary: | An interesting group of post-medieval pottery was found during small-scale excavation on site of Nos 18-22, St. Andrew's Street, Tverton, in 1973. Post-medieval, around 1700 to 1730, sherds deriving from South Somerset, Honiton and North Devon. Also one sherd of Beauvais Sgraffito ware and an unstratified Nuremberg token (1580-1610). Also much abraded sherds of 16th century pottery. |
