Visitor Facilities:Dedicated visitor desk; public access terminal; photocopying; library of local periodicals, monographs, books and other sources; photographic collection. Range of information available:Records of archaeological sites and finds, industrial and military sites, listed and some unlisted historic buildings. Fieldwork reports and aerial photograph transcription overlays are also available. The CHER is open to public consultation but only by appointment, made in advance. We share a search room with Cambridgeshire Records Office. Information can also be supplied remotely by email or post. Photocopying is permitted.
Commercial consultations are charged a fee dependent on the time needed, with full details of the charging structure available on the website. GIS HER data can also be provided on request to commercial and non-commercial users at the charges specified on the website.
