Summary
The Victory opened in 1921 - a large, modern cinema. It was re-vamped and re-opened in 1938 as 'The New Victory'. By the late fifties the cinema was considered dated compared to its rivals (the Empire and Odeon). It closed suddenly in 1967 and was demolished.

The Victory Cinema was the first purpose built cinema in Loughborough, opening in 1921. It was an opulent Neo-Classical style building. The cinema was the first cinema in Loughborough to install modern technology such as new sound systems. The cinema had a major refurbishment in 1938. It was closed in January 1967 and demolished by August 1967.
