Full description

AT LEAST 5 BUILDING PHASES INITIALLY IN TIMBER WITH LATEST TWO CHARACTERISED BY MASSIVE MASONARY DATING FROM THE EARLY 13TH TO THE LATE 16TH CENTURY. IT WAS DESCRIBED AS A HUNTING LODGE IN 1570 WITH AN ATTACHED PARK. Excavated by: BKD (11/1962), ADO (1965), RAW (1974) (1 - 14)
