More information : (Centred at NY 224 626) Leonard Lowther, rector of the parish, when digging to make a garden prior to 1597 (2) "found two inscribed stones laid face to face (apparently reused as flags or the like in a later reconstruction), one of them, part of an elaborate building inscription probably assignable to Caracalla; below the lower flag was a hoard of 15 or more coins", probably Roman, as one of them is recorded as being inscribed - obv Diva Augusta Faustina, rev Consecratio.
