Wall 2.4 metres wide with a maximaum height of 2.3 metres to the west. Overgrown and in poor condition. (4)

NZ 2438 6426: Newcastle upon Tyne town defences. Section of curtain wall containing Ever, Morden and Heber towers, two towers and two sections of town ditch. The monument is situated between St Andrews Street and Bath Lane and runs parrallel to Stowell Street. This section of the town defences represents part of the western side of the circuit and includes a 214 metres upstanding section of the curtain wall, three towers and remains of two turrents and two posterns. Outside the wall there is a berm and ditch. The latter is partially visible as an earthwork since a limited excavation and display in the late 1980s. Scheduled. (7)
