Summary : The remains of a moated motte. The motte is 4 metres in height and 36 metres in diameter. The moat, now dry is 6 metres in width and 2 metres in depth on all but the south side where it opens onto low-lying ground, formerly probably marshy. A survey in the 1940s suggested that the site of the bailey was to the east of the castle, and area now covered by farm buildings that have even encroached on part of the moat. Scheduled.

Mound about 40 yds in diameter at the base, is flat on the top, and rises about 15ft above the bottom of the ditch. The ditch, dry on the N and NE, surrounds the mound. (2)

Scheduled as castle mound (3).

Small moated motte, the motte being 4.0m in height, 36.0m in diameter, the moat, now dry, 6.0m in width, 2.0m in depth on all but the S side where it opens out onto low-lying ground, formerly probably marshy. Apart from some dumping of rubbish into the moat on the E side, the work, which is wooded, is in fair condition.
