Summary : 'U' Mound - probable quarry spoil heap non-antiquity
More information : Mound, diameters 52 1/2 feet and 50 feet, 5-10 feet
high. Robbed on south east scarp. (1)

Listed as a quarry dump or other modern feature. (2)

SO 35933395 Probably spoil from wide flat bottomed ditch on
south east, has a rounded top. (3)

SO 358339. (St Margaret's). Reputed motte (4), but trial excavation
in 1934 had led to an identification of feature as a stone quarry
spoil heap. (5-6)
