Summary : Earthwork remains of a moated mound, probably a motte. The mound is about 49 yards in diameter at the base and rises some 16 feet above the moat level. A causeway crosses the moat on the north west.

A moated mound probably a castle mound, about 49 yds in diameter at the base, rises some 16 ft above the moat level. A causeway crosses the moat on the NW. (2)

The porportions of this moated mound (see section) are such that it cannot be firmly placed as a motte. The causeway has been removed and there is now no access. There is no trace of a bailey.
