Timber-framed house of two storeys with stone and tile covered roofs, of late 14th century build, with a jettied cross wing at the N. end. The hall has an inserted floor, dividing it into two storeys, an alteration of probable 17th century date. [Sited from plan p.198, AND os 1:2500 1974]. (1) The Old Corner House (formerly listed as House opposite to and S of the Red Lion Hotel). House, now house and shop. 15th c, with some mid-19th c alterations, extended during 20th c with the incorporation of a re-sited barn of 17th c date. Listed grade II*. (See list for details). (2)
