Summary : The Ross to Monmouth Railway was opened in 4th August 1873. It closed to passengers 1st January 1959, when the section between Lydbrook Junction (where it joined the Severn and Wye Railway) and Monmouth was closed completely. The rest of the line was closed to freight in 1964. |

The passenger service was withdrawn on 1st January 1959 and the section between Lydbrook Junction, where it met the Severn and Wye Railway, and Monmouth closed completey. (4)
