More information : At least five separate quarries are visible in Woodcombe. They comprise individual quarry scoops presumably for stone and extend over a large area in and around the head of Woodcombe. Examples exist at SS 95025 47415, SS 95149 47200, SS 95257 47053, SS 95200 46942 and SS 95164 47110.
Surveyed as part of RCHME fieldwork on the Exmoor National Park holding on North Hill. (1 and 2)
