Tower North Of Eden School

Hob Uid: 1104404
Location :
Cumbria
Carlisle
Stanwix Rural
Grid Ref : NY4137057020
Summary : An octagonal tower of three storeys, built in c1835 for George H Head, whose house is now Eden School. It was possibly a dovecote, though this is a very late date for one and since the owner liked tower follies, it is possible this is an earlier building moved from another location. The roof timbers are exposed and the slates are almost gone; no internal features.
