More information : Carrying 217 tons of china clay, the vessel left Par on the 12th, and during a gale on the 13th sprang a severe leak which continued to increase until the 16th, by which time there was 6ft of water in the hold and increasing. She was abandoned and left in a sinking condition by her crew, who were exhausted from pumping. Shortly after, she foundered - Trevose Head was bearing N by E about 20 miles off.
