SO 594 686. Castle Tump, Tenbury. Scheduled. (4)
The motte was probably only extant in the 12th century. Its top is about 12 feet above the flood plain and the top is 12 feet across. The base appears to have ben washed away on the south side. It was probably defended by wet defences, and there are cropmark traces of a bailey to its north. (5) |
