Summary : A well preserved Bronze Age cairn is visible as a circular mound and is part of a group (SS 94 NW 15) east of Selworthy Beacon (SS 94 NW 102). The stony mound measures 13m in diameter and 1.5m high. There is a central depression which measures 2.2m long and 0.5m deep. This is a scheduled monument.
More information : A large cairn, part of a group to the east of Selworthy Beacon (SS 94 NW 15), was surveyed using GPS as part of the RCHME East Exmoor project. It is located at SS 92167 48033 and comprises a circular, stony mound, 13m in diameter and 1.5m high. A central depression is 2.2m long and 0.5m deep (1).

The cairn is depicted on the OS 1st edition map of the area (2).

The Bronze Age burial cairn above (1-3) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs. The cairn is centred at SS 9229 4803 and is as described above (1). (3-4)
