Summary : A Bronze Age burial cairn is visible as a mound and is part of a group (SS 94 NW 15) east of Selworthy Beacon (SS 94 NW 102). The cairn measures 9 metres in diameter and stands 0.8 metres high with a small central depression. This is a scheduled monument.
More information : A Bronze Age burial cairn, part of a group east of Selworthy Beacon, was recorded as part of the RCHME Exmoor project. It was surveyed using differential GPS and lies at SS 92596 47831. The cairn comprises a gorse and heather covered mound, 9m in diameter and 0.8m high, with a small central depression (1).

The cairn is depicted on the OS 1st edition 25" map (2).

Cairn, forming part of a prehistoric round cairn cemetery. Scheduling amended. (3)

The Bronze Age burial cairn above (1-3) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs. The cairn is centred at SS 9259 4783 and is as described above. (4)
