More information : (SO 71113756 - OS 1:2500 1966) 5245 NEW STREET (South Side) SO 7137 NE 2/77 18.9.53. No 2 II* GV 2. Circa 1600. Timber framed, now roughcast. Tiled roof. 1 gable with moulded barge boards and pendants (pendants now missing). Top floor projects on corbelled posts. 3 storeys. 1 windows. 1st and 2nd floor sashes with glazing bars. Ground floor projecting early C19 8-light shop window with wide cornice and glazed and panelled door with barred rectangular fanlight. RCHM (83). Nos 2 to 8 (even) form a group, with No 1 The Southend. (1)
