Summary : Natural mound. The mound was seen as an earthwork and mapped from aerial photographs.
More information : Mound near the E side of the road, nearly 1 1/2 m NE of Cradley Church (SO 75604812). A roughly circular natural knoll, approached by a causeway on the NE. (shown on OS 6") which appears to have been artificially heightened. (Sited from small scale map in 1). (1) SO 75634811 The knoll, although somewhat disturbed around its crest, is probably entirely natural. The hollow way (not a causeway) to the NE is a disused trackway to Hill Farm. (2) The mound noted by the previous authorities was seen centred at SO 7562 4812 and mapped from aerial photographs. No other features could be seen associated with the mound and it is presumed to be natural. (3)
