Red sandstone ashlar, with plinth, string course and moulded cornice. Lower courses have channelled joints. Plain architraves to windows, sash windows, cases within reveals. Entrance has tetrastyle portico full height of building, with fluted Greek Doric columns and moulded entablature and pediment. Four-panelled entrance door with glazed fanlight. Interior has formal staircase with top light, columns and entablatures. Screen walls and outbuildings are in keeping and included. An interesting, complete and unspoilt essay in Greek Revival building. |
