Summary : Landscape park and gardens at Armley House, a villa constructed in circa 1781. The grounds were laid out during the late 18th century by Thomas White for Thomas Woolrich. In 1810 Humphry Repton was commissioned to modify the grounds. Further alterations were made in 1834. The grounds have been used as a public park and golf course since 1928.
More information : Landscape park and pleasance to Armley House, a villa constructed in circa 1781. The grounds were laid out during the late 18th century with alterations of circa 1810-1850 with work by Humphry Repton. Features include terraces of 1810-22. Woodland is present to the north and east with parkland to the south and north. The grounds have been used as a public park and golf course since 1928. (1)
